Getting to Orcas Island
Upon arrival to Seatac International Airport, begin your journey of photographing the Pacific Northwest. Seattle offers city views, skylines and various other photo opportunities. A few hours of driving can lead to spectacular views of Mount Rainier or Mount St. Helen’s. From Seatac, 2-1/2 hours north by car or bus leads to Anacortes, the gateway to the San Juan Islands. While on the 1 hour ferry ride to the Orcas Village landing, you can possibly experience views of Mount Baker, observe sea otters or perhaps a beautiful sunset. Either bring along a rental car from the mainland or obtain one while on the islands. Car pooling is strongly recommended.
Costs are for the photographic education, critiques and guidance of the island.
